26 June 2012: Reclaimed timber specialist, Lawson’s has recently completed work at a new lifestyle jeanswear brand store, Flying Horse Jeans, in Carnaby Street, London.
Storeowner, David Rix, gave Lawson’s a brief to create a natural and far eastern feel by using natural materials, in keeping with the Asian beach market theme of fishnets and bamboo lights. White oiled reclaimed Fleet Street pine boards were used for the floors and sun bleach effect wood cladding was used to provide a natural backdrop for the jeanswear in the basement. Inspired by travels around South East Asia, reclaimed beams were used to help create the reflection of the brand’s spirit in the store and in keeping with this theme Lawson’s designed totally bespoke and unique display furniture to blend in with the overall interior.
Adam Lawson, Director for Lawson’s, said:
“We pride ourselves on using recycled materials as much as possible, so we were overjoyed to work with the Carnaby store, which specifically wanted to keep the theme of travels around South East Asia. It’s always great to get stuck into a new project and we felt like we could really experiment with this brief. The display furniture especially added an extra wow factor to the overall store.”
David Rix, storeowner, said:
“I couldn’t be more pleased with the end results, Adam understood my vision from the start. He has helped create a very calm and cool feel to the South East Asian inspired design. The materials are so unique and individual, which is exactly what I was hoping for in my first store. I hope to work with Adam again when we begin to roll out more stores in the future.”
