Doors

We now have fully qualified city and guilds joiners in our team to manufacture our doors to the highest standard and quality. They are made using traditional methods and all are built individually to customer's sizes and styles. The kinds of doors we specialize in are ledged and braced doors but we also offer a bespoke joinery and design service. This offers customers the chance to visit our joinery shop to consult with our team to discuss their specific requirements. Our doors are mainly made out of reclaimed pine or oak, using old-fashioned rose head nails to give them a truly authentic look. We also offer door casings to match the doors, architrave and skirting boards in either oak or pine, and again machined to customers specific designs. Our workshop is temperature controlled to ensure a stable environment for the timber and reduce the chances of movement in the doors. Also because the timber is mostly reclaimed it is normally over 70 years old so it is extremely well seasoned and will not bend and warp like new timber. We source the pine mainly from mills, schools and churches etc that are being demolished while a lot of the oak is sourced in France from country houses and chateaux that have become derilict and unsafe
