We have just taken the last delivery from a Victorian mill we bought for salvage in Yorkshire.
This is some of the finest antique timber we have ever come across. This consists of Yellow and Pitch pine beams approxtimate section 22 " x 12", yes, that big!

Also on the job is approx 1500 sq yards of beautiful original antique pine floorboards. We have already started to renovate these boards, They all have to be denailed then the tongue and grooves cleaned out before we re-sand them. In doing this we only take a tiny amount off the surface so the boards retain the patina they have accquired over the past century.
We have just cut one of the beams up to supply some 15" wide floorboards for a restoration project where the conservation officer insisted the client replace the boards with what had already been down. The timber was beautiful, hardly a knot in it. We will also manufacture these into floorboards, doors, furniture etc.
The pitch pine beams will be cut up into floorboards or sold into the boatbuilding industry. Many traditional boats are made from pitch pine because of its durability qualities. Also the lengths are over 20 ft.
Every piece of timber from the job will be recycled by us.
